Meet Juanita... she lives in the jungle in the Yucatan Peninsula and her parents have been hammock weavers since forever! It takes about three weeks to finish a double size hammock. Juanita learns day by day the art of weaving hammocks after she comes back from school, tradition that is pass generation after generation in this part of the world!
Hammock Heaven is proud to support families like Juanita's allowing them to have a sustained income and a fair way of life.
It is fun to sell hammocks and bring the colours of Mexico to Australia, but is more satisfying to get involve with the real artisans and put all your heart into it.
